Father's Day was really nice. We walked to the park and had a picnic and then let P play on the playground for about an hour. Then later that afternoon we went to Auntie Carol's for a cookout with the fam. My parents weren't there because they left for Florida on Friday the 13th...ooooooohhhhh. We had dad and grandpa over the weekend before for a seafood cookout (shrimp, scallops and stuffed clams) to celebrate to be sure we honored my dad before he left on vacation.
Father's Day is always so nice because the weather is usually gorgeous. We typically have a cookout on that day and hang out outside. It is still kind of weird to think of Shane as a dad. I wonder if he thinks so, too. Sometimes I hear mom, mommy or mama and wonder who the heck the kid is talking to...well, it is me! crazy.
