Clothes

My cousin Candyce rocks! She has been setting P up with clothes since she was born. She has two girls of her own and they are 4 and almost 3, so I get all the hand-me-downs. She is really a lifesaver. I save so much money by borrowing these clothes it is unbelievable. I guess being destined to have a boy and have to buy clothes for him isn't so bad...but, I do have friends I could borrow from in a pinch for him, too.

Last night she, Mitch and the girls came over and dropped off winter and summer clothes in 18 mos - 2T, which is exactly what P is wearing. She also had a big bag of shoes in various sizes that will probably fit P through until fall. The only things I will need to buy her are socks, tights, a swimsuit, diaper, wipes, and those other various toddler items. Yeah!

On another note.... Yesterday after spending the night with Grammy and Papa, Peyton would not nap. She missed me and her daddy and did NOT want to sleep. It was my mom's birthday and we had dinner plans - I really wanted her to get a couple of hours in so she was pleasant during dinner. Well, I couldn't get her down and she fell asleep in the car on the way to the restaraunt. Hubby sat with her for a while and then brought her in...not a good idea. She was a mess pretty much all through dinner and then didn't want to leave. She threw an ever-loving fit when I tried to put her coat on - it was really embarressing. Kind of like the whole place went quiet and all you could her was her high pitched screaming. Hubby said he had never seen her like that before - it was quite eye-opening. Well, welcome to my world. She is starting to really exude her independence and knows she has a mind of her own at this point. She is quite challenging sometimes. I know that her actions yesterday were just because she was over tired.
